Our Stay at Wanee Lake Golf & RV Resort

This was our first campground stay once we were on the road full time and it was a pleasant experience. Our need to “get away” was met with the quiet location, and the other guests were respectful and quite, both while golfing and camping.

Most important to us will always be the internet. We were able to receive a great connection with our NanoStation, the speeds were fast, and we had very few issues with downtime. When the main network would go down, we could still connect our NanoStation to the clubhouse, and continue working.

The only downsides some may find, are the sites are grass and gravel, and are not all level. This is not generally a concern for us, but thought we’d mention it. Bonus: all sites are pull-through sites.

During our stay, we had a chance to talk to both an employee and one of the owners, Mike. Mike and his staff are friendly and accommodating, and added to our happiness with this campground. We would definitely stay here again.

We’re Finally on the Road, Full Time

Van and camper leaving driveway

Our first week out was more work than it was play or site-seeing. We did, however, at least have a chance to take a little break around Buggs Island in southern Virginia.
